The range of tasks includes: Examining circuit diagrams and layouts, determining the position of the circuit breaker to be fitted, installing cable ducts and carriers, setting up connections, as well as conducting test series for inspection to ensure that the electric installations comply with applicable standards.

Those interested in this profession must be able to work with methodical accuracy and be capable of conducting all procedures step by step. The job requires very precise working, a watchful eye, and a high sense of responsibility, because every error could have severe consequences regarding the system’s safety. Electricians need to coordinate their activities with other occupational groups (bricklayers, plasterers, heating companies, etc.) to guarantee the correct completion of all of their tasks. Individuals who wish to pursue this career must complete a traineeship or have attended a special technical school.
